A professional fastpitch team based on Long Island, New York. Our mission is to enable elite female softball athletes to continue playing beyond college at a pro-level, showcase their talents, and create female role models along the way. Our players will connect with fans in New York and the Northeast through fan engagements at our games, through clinics, or other community events! We are excited to part of the movement to promote women in professional sports!
During our inaugural season in 2024, professional softball was brought to New York as we completed 22 games, 9 at our home field, the Bill Edwards Stadium at Hofstra University. The Rise opened the season by winning the Scenic City Cup over the OKC Spark and placed in third place during the Champion Cup Series with the Association of Fastpitch Professionals. For the 2025 season, the New York Rise will participate as a member team in the Fastpitch United Pro Series.
